Grade 3: Virtual STEM Club – Brain Buster!

The Virtual STEM Club will offer a new guided STEM activity each week.  We will be using simple materials from the classroom to create and learn together.  Students will also have the chance to ask questions to inspiring STEM role models from Let’s Talk Science.

Based on the stories from Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta, this program allows students to explore with artifact investigation and photographs and discover the pioneering men and women who first settled theWest and began building our great city …Calgary!

2Y & 1W: Blackfoot Language Virtual FT

The Blackfoot language is timeless. In this introduction to the traditional language of this territory, Blackfoot educators will reference many of the artifacts located within the Nitsitapiisinni Gallery as well as basic foundational words. This primer allows for the expansion of our history, culture and beliefs, through the use of syllabics, IPA and English. The culture is in the language.
