Easier Than You Think: Talking to Your Kids About Sexuality
Studies show that kids want to hear from their parents about sexuality and sexual health – not just sexual activity, but also about love, values, and relationships. Centre for Sexuality’s presentations, called Easier Than You Think, provide parents with the tools to have meaningful and age-appropriate conversations with their kids.
These interactive workshops will help you become more comfortable and confident talking with your child about sexuality, consent, and relationships, and help you identify your own family’s values about these topics.
The presentations will be held in two parts – one aimed at parents of elementary-aged kids (grades K-6) and the other for parents of older students (grades 7-12).
Please note that our interactive sessions are participatory. To create safety for both the facilitators and attendees, we encourage workshop participants to have their videos on (if it is possible) and that they come prepared to engage in conversation about the material.
