Jordan Mallon | Dinosaur Paleontologist
January 27, 2020 10-11 AM
On Monday, January 27, 2020, several of our grade four classes (4Hodd, 4Hogg and 4T) will attend a video broadcast in their classrooms, with a member of the Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants Team and Canadian paleontologist Jordan Mallon, as he explores the wide and wonderful world of dinosaurs and discusses his own work in the field seeking to understand what made dinosaurs so successful and varied
How it Works
The team sends textbook-sized satellite units around the world with scientists and explorers so they can video broadcast into classrooms from the most remote regions of the planet. Our students can then follow and connect with exciting expeditions around the world. Zoom Video Conferencing will be used to allow our classes to appear on screen and interact with the speaker. Several classrooms from other schools may also be in attendance, conferencing in from their schools. The session will be recorded directly to YouTube, where it will reside amongst a library of past events that can be viewed by classrooms and the public anytime.
*Parents of students in 4HO, 4H and 4T, if you did not receive a request for consent to allow your child(ren) to be part of this and related live conferences, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you the consent form.
