The Charter Board joins the Westmount community in thanking interim Superintendent,
Mr. Joe Frank for his previous 12 years of service, extraordinary leadership and
willingness to return to Westmount to assist in a time of transition. Mr. Joe Frank’s
contract will end on December 22, 2023. We wish him health and happiness as he
resumes the next exciting chapter of his life.
The Charter Board will be conducting an extensive search for a new Superintendent.

The Superintendent is the Chief Executive Officer of the Charter Board, the Chief
Education Officer of Westmount and the Charter Board’s only employee. The
Superintendent provides leadership and is responsible for the overall operation and
performance of both campuses and student learning in the context of the Charter
Board’s policies, the Education Act and the Superintendent Leadership Quality
Standard.
The successful candidate will develop and guide the long-term strategic vision for
Westmount, prioritizing our Inside Out charter to support student success while
balancing parent expectations, fiscal management and reporting. The new
Superintendent will also be a visionary leader and a promoter of public charter school
education across the system and community.
The Charter Board will have a new Superintendent in place by December 2023. Details
about the transition period will be shared once they are confirmed.
