The Westmount Charter Elementary Fundraising Society (WCEFS) is looking for volunteers for our fundraising casino this October 28th and 29th, 2022. We need at least 5 named volunteers ASAP in order to complete the paperwork and be confirmed for our Casino. If things change, no problem! We will reach out in September/October to confirm the final volunteer list.

A great way to meet other parents and ensure the best education for your child is to become a board member. A Casino Chairperson and 3 board members at large are urgently needed to ensure successful fundraising. We expect to receive $50,000 – $80,000 for the school and we need your help to make this happen

  1. Casino Volunteers
    • You do not need to know anything at all to get started! When you arrive for your shift, you will be trained on the job. You will also receive a food credit for a free meal during your break.  Casino volunteering offers us a tremendous opportunity to raise substantial funding in only a few days, but which can enhance programming for years to come. If not yourself, consider if you can find a family member, friend or neighbor who can help us out. You do not need to be a parent to volunteer.
    • Our casino dates are the following:
      • Cowboys Casino – Friday October 28th and Saturday October 29th, 2022
    •  Volunteer Roles
      • General Manager, General Manager Alternate, Banker, Count Room Supervisor, Cashier, Backup Person
  1. Board Members and Chairperson Needed!
    • With some students moving up to the Mid-High, we need more board members at the elementary level: Casino Chair (ASAP) and 3 Board Members At Large (September). Board Director Positions are also available at our fall AGM.
    • The chairperson will be responsible for recruiting and filling all volunteer positions and completing key paperwork in August, 60 days prior to our casino’s scheduled date.

**Please note: The Westmount Charter School Parent Fundraising Society (mid-high) is also having a casino which will be held on November 13th, 14th, 2022. Please reach out to that committee if you wish to volunteer there as well.
