From April-June 2021, the Women’s Centre is offering free girls programming online for girls in grades 5 – 9. Programs for girls at the Women’s Centre of Calgary offer safe and supportive spaces for all girls to build community with each other, explore issues that matter to them, build new skills, and develop their leadership abilities.  In the sessions, girls have opportunities lead workshops and activities for each other, try out new activities like art, crafts, dance, yoga, martial arts, theatre and STEM; explore topics like mental health, discrimination, stereotypes, protecting the environment and food justice; meet women and girls doing cool work, collaborate on social action projects and make new friends from all over the city.

To register, families can email the Girls Leadership Coordinator Era Rana at era@womenscentrecalgary.org. Participants will need to fill out a waiver form before they attend, which will be emailed to them. Once girls are registered for the online program, a Zoom link will be sent to them to join.
