Homeroom teachers will be polling students to see who is interested in the Pumpkin Carving competition this year.

All interested students will have their names entered into a draw to participate. There will be 12 students selected from the Pumpkin Carving draw to participate in this year’s competition. If your child is selected, an email will go home to you next Friday. Parents of selected students can then respond back if they wish for their child to participate in the competition. If a selected student wishes to participate, they can bring their pumpkin to school on Tuesday, October 29th and take it home after the Halloween Howl on Thursday the 31st.

On the day of the Halloween Howl, teachers will vote on the pumpkins. Whichever pumpkin wins the vote, the student’s house colour will also win the challenge for the month.   Parents are encouraged to help their child with their pumpkin carving at home, however please keep in mind the pumpkin should be designed by the child. If pumpkins are not picked up at the end of the day on the 31st they will be composted. Best of luck to all students who enter the draw and those selected to participate in the competition.
