Welcome New Families to Westmount Charter School!!

The Westmount Charter School Council is thrilled to welcome you to the 2018-19 school year.
For many families, moving to a new school can be a big change and a stressful time. In preparation for the year ahead, we’d like to introduce you to your School Council and how we help support Westmount families.
What is the School Council?
“…structured groups of parents, principals, teachers, secondary students, and community representatives who work together to effectively support and enhance student learning.”

Every parent of a Westmount student is a member of Westmount’s School Council! Our role is to partner with the school administration to support students in achieving their full personal potential from the inside-out.
We encourage you to become involved through School Council to learn more about school activities, offer feedback to school administration and support the students of Westmount. Visit the Parents section on http://westmountcharter.com/ for more information and look for announcements about the following Council-organized activities:
• Coffee Talks (informal discussions with one of the Principals)
• Parent Education sessions (focused on gifted education and parenting gifted children)
• Fundraising initiatives to support school field trips, experiential learning opportunities and more
• Monthly Council meetings (each with a different focus, all parents are welcome) – Note: our first 2018-19 School Council meeting will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Mid-High Campus. Come join us and meet the school Principals, administration and other parents!
